3 types of discs

Within a disc golfers bag you would find three types of discs: a driver, mid-range, and putt and approach. The driver is the disc that you tee off with and it is the lightest in your bag. Drivers are made to fly very far, so the experienced disc golfer may only use the driver for extremely long holes. Then there is the mid-range disc. This disc is used for shots in the fairway when you have a lot of distance between you and the basket. When researching about the different types of discs, most sites would say the mid-range is the most important disc you can have, especially on shorter courses. The putt and approach is the last disc in your bag and is generally used when you are closer to the basket. These are the heaviest as well as the most accurate discs you can have. Some disc golfers use the putt and approach to tee off on shorter holes.
